1. Critical Notice — Emergency Calling Limitations

Sellphone is a cloud-based business phone service built on Twilio's voice and messaging infrastructure. It is designed for everyday business calls and messages — not as a primary emergency communications tool. Sellphone has significant limitations with respect to emergency (911) calling that differ from traditional landline and wireless services.

By using Sellphone you acknowledge that emergency calling (911) may not work reliably or at all through this service, and that you are solely responsible for ensuring you have an alternative means to contact emergency services.

2. Why 911 May Not Work

Several factors can prevent a 911 call placed through Sellphone from connecting to or being correctly routed by an emergency dispatcher:

• Power outage. Sellphone runs entirely in your browser or installed web app. If your device loses power, Sellphone stops working immediately. Unlike a traditional landline, it cannot operate during a power failure.
• Internet outage. Sellphone requires a working internet connection. If your home or office internet service is down — including failures caused by the same emergency you are trying to report — Sellphone will not function.
• Browser-based client. Sellphone's audio is handled by your web browser via WebRTC. Browser crashes, software updates, or device failures can prevent the application from launching or maintaining a call.
• Location dependence. 911 dispatch relies on knowing your physical location. Sellphone may route your emergency call based on a registered address on file, which may be outdated or may not match your actual location at the time of the call. If your registered address is incorrect, dispatchers may send help to the wrong place.
• Calls may route differently or not connect at all. Emergency calls made through VoIP services like Sellphone may be routed through an IP-based pathway that does not reach the correct Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for your area. In some circumstances, the call may fail to connect entirely without any error indication on your end.

3. Your Responsibility — Maintain an Alternative

You must always maintain an alternative means to reach emergency services that does not depend on Sellphone, your internet connection, or your computer's power supply. Examples include:

• A mobile (cellular) phone — cell phones can reach 911 even without a carrier plan and even during a power outage at your location.
• A traditional landline — analog phone lines connected to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) typically continue to work during power outages and provide automatic location information to 911 dispatchers.

Do not rely on Sellphone as your only means of calling 911. If you are in an emergency situation, use your mobile phone, a neighbor's phone, or any other traditional voice service first.

4. Registered Address

To attempt to improve emergency call routing, Sellphone may associate a registered service address with your account. However, you are responsible for keeping this address current and accurate. Sellphone makes no guarantee that a registered address will be correctly transmitted to a 911 dispatch center, that the address on file will match your actual location, or that a dispatcher will receive any location information at all. A stale or incorrect address may cause emergency responders to go to the wrong location.

If Sellphone has a registered service address on file for your account and you move or regularly work from a different physical location, do not assume that address is current. Contact us at support@sellphone.pro to confirm or update it — but still treat it as unreliable for emergency purposes.

5. Acknowledgment of Limitations

By signing up for and using Sellphone, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You have read and understood these emergency calling limitations.
• Sellphone is not a replacement for traditional or wireless 911 service.
• Emergency calls through Sellphone may fail to connect, may connect to the wrong PSAP, or may provide incorrect or no location information.
• You will maintain an independent, alternative means to reach emergency services at all times.
• Sellphone, its officers, employees, and service providers (including Twilio) shall not be liable for any harm, injury, loss, or damage arising from your inability to complete an emergency call through the service.

These limitations are a known and inherent characteristic of browser-based VoIP services. They are not a defect — they reflect the fundamental architecture of how internet-based voice calling works today.
